Today, I reqeusted several books from the library. 2 Claudia Mair Burney books, 1 Ann B. Ross and 1 Dean Koontz. Now, I wait......and try not to think about the fact that my mother has read one of the books already and has another waiting for her at the library when she gets home. You see, I introduced her to Ann B. Ross books. Now she's hooked and ahead of me. Unfair. Shortly after my girlfriend introduced me to Claudia Mair Burney books, I also introduced mom, and now she's hooked. And shortly, she will be ahead of me there, too.
Again, unfair.
Yes, it's petty and very junior high schoolish of me.
Still....unfair.

It is a known fact that mothers almost always win such races. I bet you can beat Lizzie in a Dr. Suess race easily!
I requested Odd Hours a couple of weeks ago. I love you!
And I think that's fair, since I turned YOU onto Koontz ;-)
ok, ok....whatever... :-)
Well maybe I'll be a very kind and unselfish friend and let you read NICKY AND ZORA by Claudia Mair Burney FIRST when it comes in...but if I decide to be that much like Jesus, you better get over here as fast as you get the call and before I can turn to the dark side and hold on to it for myself!
Oh----by the way, I FORGOT my book at home! I meant to read it on the plane----BUT----I'm home now! I am on chapter 15. Want me to tell you how it is?? hee hee
Hi Shannon---miss you----
